The news was confirmed from the hospital where he worked, writes Klix.ba and adds that it is Dr Sergej Maksimishin, who was the deputy chief doctor of the hospital in Omsk. However, the exact reason for this 55-year-old doctor's death has not been announced yet.

Twenty-three Russian soldiers were crushed to death by rubble after their military barracks collapsed in Siberia, the Russian defence ministry said on July 13. 

At least 18 troops have been killed as the Russian Airborne Troops training centre barracks collapsed in the Omsk region on Sunday.

This was announced by a spokesman of the Russian Defence Ministry on Monday, TASS news agency reports.

As of Monday morning, 38 servicemen have been retrieved from the rubble, with 18 of them found dead.
