ROME - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano in Rome Wednesday and spoke to him about the reforms Serbia had started and about the situation concerning the EU accession process.

BELGRADE - Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will visit Rome on Wednesday at an invitation from his Italian counterpart Matteo Renzi, Tanjug learned from Vucic's office on Tuesday.

According to diplomatic sources, Vucic will meet Italian President Giorgio Napolitano and Senate President Pietro Grasso as well while in Rome.

Senior career diplomat Mithat Rende of Turkey has been elected as chair of the Executive Committee of the Paris-based Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Foreign Ministry has announced.

Ambassador Rende has been serving as the head of Turkey’s Permanent Delegation to the OECD since the summer of 2013.

BELGRADE - Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic met on Tuesday in Rome with President of the Italian Society for International Organization and former Italian foreign minister Franco Frattini to discuss Serbia's progress towards EU membership and the economic reforms implemented by the Serbian government.
