Israel threatened Wednesday to retaliate after Iran fired a barrage of missiles at its territory, with Tehran warning it would hit "all infrastructure" in Israel if it came under attack as the destruction and violence persist in Lebanon and Gaza.

Iran has launched over 180 ballistic missiles targeting Israel, leading to escalating tensions in the region.

Iran has warned that it will target “all infrastructure” in Israel if it faces retaliation for the missile attack it carried out yesterday, Tuesday, stated the head of Iran’s General Staff, General Mohammad Bagheri.

The escalation in the Middle East following Iran’s fierce attack on Israel and the anticipation of Israel’s response to Tehran has put Athens on high alert.

The two waves of Iranian missiles that filled Israel’s sky after five months create a situation that, depending on Netanyahu’s response, could either lead to full-scale conflict with Tehran or force Iran and its allied organizations to retreat for several years.

Hezbollah vowed on Monday to keep fighting Israel and said it was ready to face any ground operation into Lebanon, after its leader was killed in an air strike that dealt the group a seismic blow.

Benjamin Netanyahu, addressed the UN General Assembly on Friday afternoon. Notably, the Israeli prime minister began his speech by saying that he did not “intend to go” to the General Assembly this year, as his country is at war “fighting for its life.”
