Bulgaria Marks 180th Birth Anniversary of Vasil Levski
On July 18th, at 21.00, a solemn ceremony followed by fireworks display will take place at the Vasil Levski Square.It will be attended by Bulgaria's President Roumen Radev: Vice President Ilyiana Yotova and Deputy Chief of Defense, Lieutenant General Plamen Atanasov, according to BNT.
Bulgarian Government Granted BGN 245,000 for the 180th Anniversary of Vasil Levski's Birth
The Bulgarian Government granted BGN 245,000 for the celebration of the 180thanniversary of Bulgarian revolutionary Vasil Levski's birth, the government information service announced.
The funds will be provided to the budgets of the Ministry of Culture and five municipalities - Karlovo, Lovech, Veliko Turnovo, Sofia and Pernik.
Bulgaria Holds Mourning for Flood Casualties
The official mourning to Monday took place as Bulgaria continued the clean-up operation after last week’s deadly floods in the north-eastern cities of Varna, Veliko Turnovo and Dobrich and more of the 14 victims were buried.
