Borisov: Nearly BGN 4 billion Will be Spent on Defense This Year
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov attended the ritual of taking a military oath by freshmen at the National Military University "V. Levski" in Veliko Turnovo.
"The government has allocated BGN 16 million to repair your buildings," the prime minister said. In his speech, he stressed that this year nearly BGN 4 billion will be spent on defense.
More than BGN 12 Million for the New Bulgarian State-owned Dam Company
The government has allocated more than BGN 12 million for the maintenance of the new state-owned Dams Management Company.
It is under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and for this reason, the funds are being transferred to its budget, the government release said.

Arrested Head of Work Capability Assessment Commission Remains in Custody
The Court of Appeals in the city of Veliko Turnovo on 8th of February decided to remand the head of the Work Capability Assessment Commission in Lovech, Donka Minkova. She was arrested on 31st of January at a time she was receiving a bribe from an intermediary.
Two Arrested and Charged after Attacking a Journalist During Investigation in Veliko Tarnovo
Charges were pressed against the two people, who were arrested after attacking a Bulgarian television journalist, the spokesperson of the chief prosecutor, Rumayna Arnaudova, told BNT on 27th of September.

Units to Counteract Phone Scams Were Set Up in Several Cities in Bulgaria
Units for counteracting telephone scammers will be established in the cities of Pleven, Rousse and Veliko Turnovo as part of the measures to fight domestic crimes, Bulgaria's Minister of Interior said on 10th of August during a briefing on the "Public Order and Security" section of the Government's Governance Programme, reported the Bulgarian National Television.
