Russia's Putin 'Threatens to Send Army' to Riga, Warsaw, Bucharest

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has claimed his Russian counterpart told him his troops could reach NATO states "within two days", media reports suggest.

The reports is part of a summary of a conversation between Poroshenko and outgoing EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso obtained by German daily Süddeutsche Zeitung.

Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, sign association agreements with EU

Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia have signed association agreements with the European Union, on the sidelines of the European Council summit in Brussels.

The association agreement between Moldova and the European Union was initialled at a November 2013 summit meeting in Vilnius of the Eastern Partnership Programme.

Bulgaria Among Favorite Summer Vacation Spots of Russians

Bulgaria is on the top 10 list of most preferred summer vacation spots for Russian tourists, who do not travel in organized groups, reports Interfax. 

The top three positions are taken by Spain, Italy and Portugal. The list is completed by Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, France the Czech republic, Germany and Great Britain. 

Grybauskaite Reelected as Lithuanian President

Dalia Grybauskaite has won the runoff in Lithuania's presidential elections and will be in office for her second 5-year term.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, Grybauskaite wins 57.87% of the votes. Her opponent Zigmantas Balcytis receives 40.14% of the votes, while 2% of the ballots were inactive, Delfi.lt reported.

Red Star beat Lietuvos Rytas

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade beat Lithuania's Lietuvos Rytas 88-82 (23-27, 22-14, 25-19, 18-22) in Belgrade late Wednesday in the first leg of the Eurocup Basketball round of last 16.

Marjanovic, who scored 21 points, Dragicevic (16 points) and Nelson (13 points) led Red Star to victory, while Seibutis (17 points) and Gecevicius (14 points) were the top scorers for the visiting team.
