Fenerbahçe earns Euroleague Final Four spot

Fenerbahçe Beko became the first-ever team to win a Game 5 as the road team to make to the 2024 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four, by beating Monaco 80-79 on May 8 night.

Having last made it to the Final Four in 2019, Fenerbahçe will play a semifinal match in Berlin against Panathinaikos on May 24, when Real Madrid takes on Olympiacos in the other semifinal.

Panathinaikos secured its first road in this season's Euroleague beating Alba in Berlin, while Olympiakos suffered an unexpected home reverse to Baskonia.

The Greens dominated the game in Germany and deservedly won 99-85 to improve their record to 3-4 and enter the top eight spots that lead to the playoffs.

Larkin leads Anadolu Efes to overtime win over Baskonia

Shane Larkin had another impressive game in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on April 1, leading Anadolu Efes to a 111-101 overtime victory against TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Larkin was dominant with a season-high 30 points, Krunoslav Simon added 21 for the Turkish side in the Round 33 matchup.

Anadolu Efes extend winning streak in EuroLeague

Anadolu Efes defeated Serbian side Crvena Zvezda 75-64 in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 11 game on Nov. 26. 

Playing at Belgrade's Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, Efes' Shane Larkin was the highest scorer of the game with 18 points and five assists.

Adrien Moerman finished with 17 points and nine rebounds and Krunoslav Simon added 11 points.

Archaeologist Arrested for Faking Staggering Discoveries

A Spanish archaeologist whose staggering discoveries included one of the earliest representations of the crucifixion and proof that the written Basque language was centuries older than previously thought has been found guilty of faking the finds.

The saga began in June 2006 when Eliseo Gil presented artefacts excavated from the Roman town of Veleia, near the Basque city of Vitoria.

EuroLeague: Barcelona stun Fenerbahçe Beko in Istanbul

Turkey's Fenerbahçe Beko suffered a frustrating home loss to Barcelona on Jan. 17 that ended the Istanbul club's three-game winning streak in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

The Spanish team toppled Fenerbahçe 80-74.

Greek playmaker guard Kostas Sloukas led Fenerbahçe Beko with a "double-double" at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall.

A Bulgarian Opened Four Bulgarian Schools in Spain

A Bulgarian with roots from the village of Kochan in the municipality of Satovcha has opened four Bulgarian schools in Spain, BNT reported.

In 4 cities in Navarre district, over 400 children learn Bulgarian language, literature and history.

The Orpheus BG cultural association, led by Sabi Atipov is also the organizer of the first meeting of the Bulgarians in Pamplona.
