President Traian Basescu on Tuesday and Wednesday will be in Warsaw to participate in celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Poland's democratic liberation, the Presidential Administration informs.

TIRANA -- Leaders of Orthodox Christian churches - including a delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) headed by Patriarch Irinej - were in Albania on Sunday.
They consecrated the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in the country's capital, Tirana.

Orthodox patriarchs visit Tirana
TIRANA - Leaders of Orthodox churches - including a delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church headed by Patriarch Irinej - consecrated the Resurrection of Christ Cathedral in Tirana on Sunday.
The consecration service - a major event for all Orthodox churches - was led by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, Albania's Balkanweb reports.

Rosen Plevneliev Congratulated Petro Poroshenko on the Election
Bulgaria's President Rosen Plevneliev congratulated in a phone conversation the newly-elected Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko, said the President's press office.
According to 99.03% of the processed ballots, Poroshenko wins the May 25 presidential elections with 54.7% of the votes.
EBRD shareholders agree on investments for Cyprus for limited period
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development said on Thursday its shareholders had voted to allow Cyprus to receive investments from it for a limited period.
The EBRD, holding its annual meeting in Warsaw, voted to provide up to 700 million euros of financing to Cyprus over the next six years.
Net Financial Wealth of Bulgarian Households Tripled in 9 Years
The net financial wealth of Bulgarian households more than tripled in the past 9 years, amounting to nearly EUR 25 B by 2013, according to data of UniCredit Group.
According to the analysis of UniCredit´s CEE Strategic Analysis department, the net financial wealth of Bulgarian households is to reach EUR 26.9 B in 2014, compared to a level of around EUR 7 B in 2004.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is due to meet Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Berlin on Friday to discuss the prospects of an "energy union" proposed by Poland.
Tusk has recently reiterated calls for the establishing of a EU-wide union aimed at reducing energy dependence on Russia.
