Bosnia Fears Renewed Floods After Heavy Rains
More than 100 houses were inundated by water across central Bosnia on Sunday and Monday after several days of heavy rains and melting snow, sparking public concerns about a possible repeat of last year's flood disaster in the country.
Officials however urged calm, stressing that although most of Bosnia's rivers were on the rise, they were still far from critical levels.

One woman was killed and three other people injured on Sunday when a landslide, possibly triggered by heavy snow, engulfed ten houses in the town of Kakanj, 50 kilometres north of Sarajevo.

Bosnian Workers Start Protest Walk to Croatia
Around 200 workers from bankrupt firms in the Tuzla region spent Wednesday night in a sports centre of the nearby town of Srebrenik after starting a protest walk on December 24 across the border towards Croatia, aiming to "leave the country" because of their hopeless situation.

Bosnia Police Round up More Alleged Terrorists
Bosnia's State Investigative and Protection Agency, SIPA, on Thursday arrested 11 persons suspected of terrorism offences in a continuation of the September police action codenamed "Damask".
SIPA conducted raids on November 13 at various sites in Sarajevo, Zenica, Kakanj, Maglaj and Zivinice.

Bosnian entity observes day of mourning for miners
ZENICA -- The Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina (FBiH) entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina is on Monday observing a day of mourning for five miners who perished in an accident.
The miners, who will be buried today, died last week in a coal mine collapse near the town of Zenica.

Reports: Five trapped miners found dead
ZENICA -- According to reports of Sarajevo-based media, five of the 34 miners trapped inside the coal mine Raspotočje in eastern Bosnia have died.
A 3.4 magnitude earthquake hit the area of the town of Zenica on Thursday, triggering a gas explosion and collapse in the mine.

Bosnia coal mine cave-in claims five lives: union leader
Five Bosnian coal miners were killed after an earthquake triggered a tunnel cave-in, trapping dozens of men underground for 20 hours, a union leader said Friday.
"Twenty-nine (trapped miners) came out, but unfortunately five did not survive," Sinan Husic said on national television, without offering details on the circumstances and time of the men's death.
