Four bidders expected for Athens metro project, source says
Four bidders are expected to show interest in Greece's tender to build a 1.45 billion euro ($1.72 billion) project to expand the Athens metro, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
Greece's GEK Terna will bid as part of a joint venture with France's Vinci and Siemens, a spokesman for GEK Terna said.
Bay of Faliro to be complete in 2019
The first phase of works to spruce up the Bay of Faliro will be completed in February 2019 at a cost of 73 million euros, according to the contract signed between the construction firm, Aktor, and the Attica regional authorities.
The project includes flood protection works and changes to coastal Poseidonos Avenue.

TAIPED starts the year with marina bids
For state privatization fund TAIPED, 2017 gets under way with the concession of two marinas: at Pylos in the Peloponnese and Alimos in Attica. By the end of February, this should have been followed by the announcement the tenders for two more, on Chios and at Aretsou in Thessaloniki, and, afterward, another of Myconos.

Aktor denies fraud charge in connection with tenders
Greece's biggest construction firm, Aktor, a subsidiary of Ellaktor, on Thursday denied any wrongdoing after a Greek prosecutor charged it with fraud in connection with two state infrastructure project tenders launched in 2007 and 2011.

Asphalt is now being laid on the Struma motorway section between Sandanski and Kulata, whose completion has been repeatedly delayed.
The 15-kilometer motorway section is being built by Greek construction company Aktor.
New Deadline for Completion of Struma Motorway's Lot 4 Announced
Lot 4 of Struma Motorway between the Bulgarian town of Sandanski and the border checkpoint Kulata should be completed until July 31 within the framework of the available budget.
This is foreseen by the annex to the construction contract signed between Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency (API) and the Greek company Aktor on 23 December 2014, electronic daily Dnevnik reports.
Greece's Aktor signs lease for Florina lignite mine
Aktor, a subsidiary of Athens-listed company Ellaktor SA, announced on Wednesday the signing an agreement for the lease of a lignite mine in the Florina region of northwestern Greece.
The contract provides for the extraction of 120 million tons of lignite and will bring above 150 million euros of net profits for the Greek state in the first 15 years.

Bulgaria Moves to Terminate Contract for Struma Motorway Lot 4
Bulgaria's contract with Greek company Aktor on the construction of Lot 4 of the Struma motorway will be terminated due to its refusal to sign an annex.
Bulgaria's Regional Development Ministry gave Aktor an ultimatum to sign an annex to the contract by Friday.
