BELGRADE - US tech entrepreneur and Apple Inc co-founder Steve Wozniak said on Wednesday in Belgrade he wanted to help promote Serbia and its interests for the rest of his life.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday received US tech entrepreneur Steve Wozniak, best known as the co-founder of Apple Inc, to discuss ways of further advancement of education in Serbia.

At a joint press conference after the meeting, Vucic said Wozniak was an inventor regarded by many as a genius.

A majority of EU countries have rejected a push by Europe's big telecoms operators to force Big Tech to help fund the rollout of 5G and broadband in the region, people familiar with the matter said.

The United States on Tuesday announced charges in five cases involving alleged efforts to steal technology to benefit China, Russia and Iran including a former Apple Inc engineer accused of targeting the company's technology on autonomous systems, including self-driving cars, and then fleeing to China.
