French police clash with migrants at Channel Tunnel (vid)

French riot police clashed with migrants overnight who tried to storm the fences and pass the Channel Tunnel to Britain. The migrants managed to tear down several security fences before charging the final fence before the entrance to the 50km Channel Tunnel. French Police repelled them by using spray and physical force.

CoE: Holding of Greek Referendum Would Not Satisfy International Standards

Council of Europe (CoE) Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland announced that a Greek referendum would fall short of international standards if held as planned on Sunday.

According to international standards, a referendum should be held with at least two weeks' notice to allow sufficient time for discussion and international observers to organise the monitoring of the vote.
