Some 50,000 holidaymakers stranded in Greece due to the collapse of the Thomas Cook tour operator are to be repatriated in the coming days, Greek Tourism Minister Haris Theoharis told Skai television on Monday.
The first 22,000 are to be repatriated over the next three days, the minister said, adding that aircraft were to arrive on Monday at Zakynthos, Kos and Corfu.

Passenger traffic up 4.7 pct this year
Passenger traffic at Greece's airports rose 4.7 percent year-on-year in the first seven months of 2019, figures compiled by the Civil Aviation Authority show.
The total number of arrivals and departures during this period was 35.52 million, up from 33.92 million in the first seven months of 2018.

Passenger traffic rose 5.3 percent year-on-year at Greek airports in the first half of 2019, Civil Aviation Authority data showed on Wednesday, reaching 25.53 million passengers from 24.24 million in January-June 2018.

Passenger traffic in Greek airports up 9 pct in first quarter
Greek airports handled 6.8 million passengers in the first three months of the year, a rise by 9 percent compared to the same period in 2018 which saw 6.2 million passengers traveling through the country's airports, according to data by the country's Civil Aviation Authority.
