Istanbul's historical Haydarpa?a Train Station will remain as a train station and go into service as the first station of Turkey's under-construction fast train network, according to plans approved by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

Constructing a considerably large mosque in the heart of Istanbul's Asian side is among the plans published by Turkey's urbanization ministry, with a local municipality official saying the area in question is technically not convenient for construction. 

Mesut Toprak, a high school friend and businessman at odds with President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an over a construction project in Istanbul, will fully cover the expenses of a reconstruction project of the Istanbul ?mam Hatip High School, a religious high school the two attended in the past.
