2 railways engineers released on bail in contract case
Two more Hellenic Railways (OSE) officials accused of delays in implementing a contract for the rail network's signaling and remote command were released Thursday on large bail amounts.
Five OSE insiders got hold of audio files of Tempe train crash
Five people, most of them senior managers at state-run Hellenic Railways Organisation (OSE) which operates the rail network, gained access to the organization's audio files from the night of the train collision at Tempe in the early hours of March 1, 2023, railway executives told Kathimerini on condition of anonymity.
Third ERGOSE official released on bail in Tempe crash probe
The third defendant to testify before the European Public Prosecutor's Greek representative on Tempe-related contract 717 has been released on bail of €700,000.
The defendant, who was an official at ERGOSE, the projects branch of Hellenic Railways (OSE), is also banned from leaving the country.

Cost of restoring Thessaly railway after deadly storm set to rise
The extensive restoration required to reopen the railway line in central Greece that was destroyed after a deadly storm last year will likely rise to 280-300 million euros from an initially estimated 200 million, sources from state-owned Hellenic Railways Organisation (OSE), which is responsible for managing and maintaining the rail infrastructure, said.

The damage caused to the railway network from Domokos station to Krannonas, about 10 kilometers outside Larissa, stretches, according to reports, for about 50 km.
Hellenic Railways (OSE) CEO Panagiotis Terzakis said the damage is to the tracks, light signals on power poles, stations and the infrastructure network in general.
