Number of new coronavirus cases remained high on Wednesday

Ljubljana – The number of new coronavirus infections again exceeded one thousand on Wednesday, standing at 1,164, which is a slight drop from the day before. Hospitalisations also exceeded the 500 milestone by one patient today, while 106 needed intensive care, seven more than the day before. Four patients died.

Slovenia adds 981 new cases to rising coronavirus count

Ljubljana – Slovenia’s curve of coronavirus transmissions keeps rising with another 981 people testing positive on Monday to drive the 7-day average up to 829. The growing trend is also reflected in Covid-19 hospitalisations, which rose back above 500. Nine patients with Covid-19 died, government data show.

Seven-day average continues to rise

Ljubljana – Slovenia reported 516 new coronavirus cases in 2,849 PCR tests on Saturday for a positivity rate of some 18%. The seven-day average of new daily cases kept up its upward trend, standing at 808. Five Covid-19 deaths were recorded, show fresh official data.

A total of 6,843 rapid antigen tests were also conducted with all the positives there re-examined with PCR tests.

Slovenia recorded 937 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, ten deaths

Ljubljana – Another 937 coronavirus cases were confirmed in 5,502 PCR tests in Slovenia on Thursday for a positivity rate of 17%. Hospitalisations were up by 23 to 485 this morning, with 88 patients in intensive care, three more than the day before. Ten deaths were recorded, fresh government data show. The 7-day average of daily new cases continued to rise.

The national committee for vaccinating against COVID (CNCAV) informs that within the last 24 hours there were 51,925 vaccine doses administered, of which 38,613 - Pfizer, 6,369 - Moderna and 6,943 - AstraZeneca, according to the data published by the National Institute of Public Health (INSP), through the National Electronic Vaccination Registry.
