Scorching heat, thunderstorms to grip most of Romania for two days
The National Weather Administration (ANM) issued on Monday new Code Yellow and Code Orange warnings of unstable weather, including scorching heat spells, valid in most of Romania. According to the forecast, a Code Yellow warning of heightened heat and thermal discomfort in Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea and southern Moldavia will be in place today.
Code Yellow advisory for heavy rains, storms for most country regions, until Saturday
The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued on Friday two Code Yellow advisories of rains and storms targeting most of the country, valid until Saturday evening. Thus, the first Code Yellow advisory was issued for 20 counties in the west and south-west of the country and it is valid as of Friday evening, 21:00hrs until Saturday morning, 09:00hrs.
Heavy snowfall to blanket Bucharest, 14 counties starting Thursday night
Bucharest and other 14 counties will be under code orange of heavy snowfall on Thursday night, while 16 counties will be under the code yellow of abundant snowfall starting Thursday afternoon, according to warnings issued Wednesday by the National Weather Administration (ANM).
