Four full charter flights are taking off from Zagreb to Moscow on Wednesday alongside regular flights to the Russian capital as Croatia's footballers prepare for their World Cup semi-final showdown with England.

Croatia's Office for Suppression of Corruption and Organised Crime, USKOK, has started a new investigation against Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic.

Police detained Bandic and several of his associates on Sunday on suspicion of involvement in criminal activities in the Zagreb administration and the city-owned company Zagreb Holding, which manages local services.
