Climate change to be on agenda of Eurasian Economic Summit

While many international conferences in Turkey are being canceled due to recent terrorist attacks, the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit will go ahead as planned in Istanbul from April 5 to 7. In addition to terrorism and migration issues, climate change will also be debated by participants from a region rich in fossil fuels. 

Bulgaria Records First Victory in U18 Ice Hockey World Championship

Bulgaria recorded its first victory in the U18 ice hockey world championship Division III Group A, which is taking place in Sofia.

After losing 3-4 in the opening match to Australia on Monday,  Bulgaria defeated Mexico with 4-2 on Tuesday.

In its next matches, Bulgaria will face successively Taiwan on Thursday, Israel on Friday and Turkey on Sunday.

Bull charges kids’ football match in Australia (video!)

A group of primary school kids playing football in Queensland, Australia were in the fright of their lives, when an unexpected visitor barged onto the pitch. A bull burted onto the ground and started chasing the terrified children, who were running in all directions for their lives! Someone from the stands recorded a video showing a young boy barely managing to escape the bull!

Australian ambassador narrowly escapes Ankara attack

Australian Ambassador to Turkey James Larsen was only meters away when a suicide car bomb exploded in the heart of the capital Ankara on March 13, and managed to escape the blast unscathed.

Larsen was with his 12-year-old daughter when the bomb exploded, driving her home from a horse riding lesson, Embassy officials told the Hürriyet Daily News on March 14.

Iranian foreign minister defends ballistic missile test

Iran's foreign minister on March 14 defended the nation's right to use ballistic missiles following a test last week, but offered no explanation for anti-Israeli messages reportedly written on them.

Speaking in Wellington, New Zealand, Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran has always reserved the right to defend itself.
