Number of countries with top debt ratings down in 2016: Fitch
The number of countries with a top-notch sovereign credit rating fell to the lowest level in 13 years last year, the international rating agency Fitch said on Feb. 9.
"The number of Fitch-rated sovereigns with 'AAA' ratings is at its lowest level since 2003 and is expected to remain unchanged over the next two years," Fitch said in a statement.
Greek property company Grivalia gets $50 mln IFC loan facility
Greek real estate company Grivalia Properties has arranged a 50 million euro ($53.41 million) credit facility with the World Bank's International Finance Corporation (IFC), the IFC said on Thursday.
Grivalia will use the long-term loan facility to improve energy efficiency in its real estate portfolio and for acquisitions.

Donald Trump's move to ban immigrants from seven majority-Muslim countries has triggered a fight in US courts and provoked angry protests in many US cities. But the arguments over its legal and moral merits won't change many minds. The new president's supporters and critics are already motivated and mobilized. Few are neutral on Trump or this policy.

Walloon PM Says Bulgaria Should Quit EU
Wallonia's Minister-President has said Bulgaria should leave the EU, alongside other Eastern European countries.
It is "desirable" that Poland, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria follow in the UK's lockstep, Le Monde [FR] quotes Paul Magnette, who heads the Belgian region's government, as saying.

Denis Shapovalov shoots the umpire! (VIDEO)
Denis Shapovalov didn’t want to do this. Obviously! But that doesn’t change the fact that…it happened!
It was during the Canada vs Great Britain game of the Davis Cup when Shapovalov, in his frustration for loosing a point, hit the ball he had in his pocket. However, the ball ricocheted and hit the umpire just below his eye!

Trump and trade
Like Mexico, Canada is in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which Donald Trump has described as "the worst trade deal...ever signed in this country." Unlike Mexico, Canada thinks that Trump is not planning to hurt it. But no good deed goes unpunished, so Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau should be very careful.

Τraces of collagen in dinosaur fossil!
Scientists from Torondo, Canada claimed in Nature Communications Scientific Review, that they identified traces of collagen in a dinosaur fossil 195.000.000 years old. Soft tissue is extremely difficult and rare to be preserved inside fossils. But if found it can be the source of enormous amounts of information, provided that it won’t be contaminated during it extraction.
