Ferry with 173 Capsizes in Central Philippines

At least 34 people are known to have drowned after a ferry carrying 173 passengers on board has capsized in rough waters in the central Philippines.

Most of the survivors were immediately rescued, but about 30 are missing, CNN quotes Philippine National Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon as saying.

The vessel capsized just 200 m off the coast.

Bulgarian Ambassador to US Says Was Subject to Hack Attack

Bulgaria's Ambassador to the US Elena Poptodorova has said her mail address has been "hacked" as part of a scam.

All her contacts have received messages wherein she asks for USD 2850, claiming to have been "mugged at gunpoint" in the Philippines.

Poptodorova, however, is in Washington DC and completely safe, as her Thursday interview with NOVA TV shows.
