The governments of Romania and of the Republic of Moldova will hold in the upcoming period a joint sitting in Chisinau, Moldovan Premier Pavel Filip announced at the end of the meeting with his Romanian counterpart Viorica Dancila.

Bulgarians are Blocked in Romania Due to Redirected Flight
A group of Bulgarians have been in trouble at the airport in the Romanian city of Timisoara. They took a flight with the low-cost company Ryanair from London, which was supposed to land last night at 20:15 in Plovdiv. Because of the bad weather conditions, the flight was redirected first to Sofia Airport, then to Romania.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu on Monday chaired the meeting of the Group for European Action of the Republic of Moldova (GAERM), informed MAE in a press release.

Simona Halep returns to first place in WTA rankings
Romanian Simona Halep returned to first place in the rankings of professional women tennis players (WTA) on Monday, five weeks after she lost this place to Danish Caroline Wozniacki, after the final lost to her at Australian Open.
Halep now has an advance of 440 points against the Danish, second ranked.
The Humans to represent Romania at Eurovision 2018
The Humans band will represent Romania at Eurovision 2018, with a song titled "Goodbye", after winning the finals of the National Selection contest that took place on Sunday evening at Polyvalent Hall in Bucharest.
