Some 4000 migrants have crossed into Croatia over the past 24 hours, the country's public broadcaster HRT has said.

Government data cited in the report suggests that, as of Thursday morning, more than 5650 people have found their way into Croatia since Hungary moved to close its border with Serbia. Another 4000 are expected in the next few days.

Romania and Bulgaria are planning to use the migrant crisis, trading their approval of quotas for access to the Schengen borderless area, the Daily Express has claimed.

?Europe once again disgraced itself yesterday,? Gabriel said a day after EU ministers failed to reach a unanimous agreement on a plan to take 120,000 refugees.

Thousands of refugees who have found a temporary shelter in Europe might not be able to finally settle down to a European country so as to start over their life. The Council of Interior Ministers of the EU did not reach a decision regarding the relocation of refugees.

The number of persons employed increased by 0.3% in the euro area and by 0.2% in the EU28 in the second quarter of 2015 compared with the previous quarter, according to national accounts estimates published by Eurostat, the EU statistical body.

The two-decade-old era of border-free travel in Europe was unravelling on Sept. 14 as countries imposed controls on their frontiers in response to an unprecedented influx of migrants. 

European ministers will hold emergency talks on Sept.14 on plans to distribute migrants around the continent, after Germany reintroduced border controls admitting it could no longer cope with the influx.

Bulgaria has warned its citizens to avoid travel by train or road through the territory of Hungary due to concentration of refugees at the country's borders with Austria and Serbia.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry recommended to use alternative routes through Romania and Slovakia or via Serbia and Slovenia.

Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic are maintaining their harsh stance on the matter of accepting refugees into their countries.

Germany on Sept.11 will seek to mend bitter divisions over how to handle Europe's spiralling migrant crisis, pushing eastern states to accept a quota system it says is still only a "drop in the ocean".
