EU is 'unfairly' criticizing Turkey, Hungarian PM Orban says

Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said Turkey is being "unfairly criticized" by the European Union. 

"It is necessary to get along with Turkey. We hand over our security to the Turks and criticize, attack and condemn them in unnecessary topics. This is not a smart policy," Orban told the public radio Kossuth on March 17. 

Serbia, Slovakia to sign new agreement on social security

BRATISLAVA - Serbia and Slovakia will soon sign a new agreement on social security to better protect Serbian workers in Slovakia, Serbian Minister of Labour Aleksandar Vulin announced in Bratislava Monday, while his Slovak counterpart Jan Richter said illegal work was a burden for both countries.

Bulgaria to Join Visegrad Four on Food Standards

Bulgaria's interim Agriculture Minister has said Sofia intends on joining the Visegrad group in their demand that companies should stop selling lower-quality products in Eastern Europe compared to the rest of the continent.

The issue will be raised at a ministerial meeting in Brussels on Monday, Hristo Bozukov has told daily 24 Chasa.

EU's security depends on Turkey's stability: Hungarian FM

Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto has said the security of the European Union depends on Turkey's stability.

Speaking to Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency on the eve of the Turkey-Hungary 5th Joint Economic Commission meeting, Szijjarto said Hungary respects Turkey for housing the refugees.

Djokovic beats Klizan in Acapulco opener

ACAPULCO - Serbia's top-ranked male tennis player Novak Djokovic has got off to a successful start at the Acapulco ATP tournament after beating Martin Klizan of Slovakia 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) on Wednesday.

Djokovic, who won after 95 minutes of play, is now 3-0 head-to-head against Klizan.
