Moment North Korea launches missile (video)

North Korea’s state-run TV channel has revealed footage of Tuesday morning’s missile launch over Japan.
The announcement claimed that firing the missile was “the first step” of Pyongyang’s military operations in the region and repeated threats against the US territory of Guam, which it branded “an advanced base of invasion”.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has called on Aug. 30 for more ballistic missile tests targeting "the Pacific," according to Pyongyang's state-run.        
         
He personally oversaw the launch of a projectile over Japan early Tuesday morning Korean time, prompting Tokyo to condemn the test as an "unprecedented threat."

North Korea has fired a missile over northern Japan in a move Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called an “unprecedented” threat to his country.
The missile, launched early on Tuesday Korean time, flew over Hokkaido island before crashing into the sea.
The UN Security Council is expected to hold an emergency meeting in response.

Jailed Samsung heir appeals against conviction

Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Jay Y. Lee has filed an appeal against the five-year jail term he was given for bribery and other charges through his lawyer, according to the Seoul Central District Court's website on Aug. 28.

The website did not give any details about the appeal,  which will be assigned to a higher court.
