Putin: Russia is Ready for more Diplomacy but its Weapons “have No Equal” in the World

Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the Russians on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day, celebrated today. According to a televised video broadcast by the Kremlin, "our country is always ready for direct and open dialogue, for seeking diplomatic solutions to the most complex problems.

Ukraine has Called on its Citizens to leave Russia Immediately

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has asked its citizens to leave Russia immediately. That's over 1 million people.

This is partly due to the argument that Kyiv will not be able to provide consular services to the population and it will become impossible to assist them when needed. Ukraine's diplomatic service also warned planners to travel to Russia to refrain from such steps.

Why Ukraine?

It all culminated on Monday when Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the independence of two Moscow-backed breakaway enclaves calling themselves the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) and the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR). Nobody knows if it will end there.

No Biden-Putin Meeting Planned, Blinken Cancels Meeting with Lavrov

The White House is not planning a summit between the presidents of the United States and Russia, said Joe Biden's spokeswoman Jen Psaki. She explained this by the escalation of the crisis between Moscow and Kyiv.

"President Biden is open to diplomacy, but the moment Putin is preparing to invade a sovereign state is not suitable for top-level talks," Saki said.
