Organizing a business mission to Ukraine before the end of the year is among the top priorities of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the President of ACCI Sophia Kounenaki-Efraimoglou has said. 

The meetings of the 6th Joint Interministerial Working Group for the Economic, Industrial, Scientific, and Technical Collaboration of Greece-Ukraine concluded in Athens on Thursday, under the direction of Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Kostas Fragogiannis and Ukrainian State Minister Oleh Nemchinov.

The government will continue to support entrepreneurship with new investment tools and new job openings, government representatives said late on Monday at the annual reception of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry held in the presence of a large number of business and political figures at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).

The Labor and Social Security Ministry is planning a comprehensive set of measures and actions for the faster absorption of women in the labor market, Adonis Georgiadis said, speaking at the second International Forum on Women's Entrepreneurship on Saturday. 

A memorandum of collaboration was signed recently in the Greek capital by the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA) and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). 

Agri-food, high technology, construction materials, medical equipment, medicines and cosmetics, biotechnology and health services are sectors of interest for the development of cooperation networks between Greek and Chinese companies, according to the conclusions of a visit by a Chinese delegation to the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA).

"The consumer and not the product is now at the center of commercial strategy," Ken Hughes, an expert on matters of consumer behavior and experience told "The Future of Commerce," an event organized by the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

"Greek exports broke the 50-billion-euro barrier in 2022, for the first time in history, and continue moving higher," Sofia Kounenaki Efraimoglou, president of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA), said addressing the Greek Exports Forum & Awards 2023 organized by the Foreign Ministry.

Companies are using microorganisms to convert carbon dioxide into protein and making "meat," with the taste and texture of real meat, which could theoretically not only be a solution to the food crisis, but also reduce air pollution. Others are making fabric from milk waste while others still are producing ink from exhaust gases.

Company openings in the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry came to three times more than closures in 2022, official figures showed this week.
