The ongoing debate over multiple pensions for former and current state officials has taken center stage in Cyprus, with the Cypriot government facing criticism from political parties and the country's Audit Office.

The procedures and decisions related to Cyprus' largest energy project at Vasilikos are gaining significant attention. According to information from the country's Audit Office, a file is being prepared for a complaint with the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO).

Kwiatkowski said that the Audit Office had already pointed out in 2018 that the expenditure was illegal according to Polish law, because such purchases by the CBA should come from the state budget and face proper parliamentary scrutiny.
