The Bosnian state court in Sarajevo on Thursday found Boro Milojica, a former member of the 6th Ljubija Battalion of the Bosnian Serb Army, guilty on two counts of the murder of Bosniak civilians in the village of Hambarine in the Prijedor area in July 1992.

The Bosnian state court found Sretko Pavic guilty on Monday of having participated in the murder of five civilians in the village of Rizvanovici in the Prijedor area in the second half of July 1992, and sentenced him to 13 years in prison.

Tomislav Kovac, who was deputy interior minister in the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska entity in July 1995, when the Kravica massacre happened, told Belgrade Higher Court on Tuesday that Ljubisa Beara, who at the time was the security chief of the Main Headquarters of the Bosnian Serb Army, was to blame for the killings.

Ahmet Sejdic told the Bosnian state court in Sarajevo on Friday that he was innocent, as his defence called for his acquittal on all charges in the indictment accusing him of the inhumane treatment of Serb civilians and prisoners of war in the period between July 1992 and February 1993.

The Bosnian prosecution on Thursday called on the state court in Sarajevo to increase the six-year sentence handed down last year to former Bosnian Serb soldier Zdravko Lubarda for crimes against humanity against Bosniaks.

Bosnian state presidency member Zeljko Komsic on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent destruction of a memorial to Croats killed during the war in 1992 in the village of Brisevo in the Prijedor area, which lies in the country's Serb-dominated Republika Srpska entity.

The Bosnian state prosecution on Friday charged against Zeljko Novakovic with committing crimes against humanity in the villages of Alici and Ekici, where 27 Bosniak civilians were killed on June 22, 1992.

From January to May this year, the Bosnian state prosecution filed just four indictments for war crimes, two fewer than in the same period in 2018.

The apparent slowdown has sparked concerns that this may cause further delays in attempts to deal with the country's enormous backlog of war crimes cases.

In closing arguments at the Bosnian state court on Monday, Sretko Pavic's defence lawyer said that the defendant should be acquitted of taking five Bosniak civilians to a checkpoint in Rizvanovici in the Prijedor area in the second half of June 1992, detaining them and then killing them.

Zagreb County Court on Tuesday handed down a first-instance verdict convicting former Bosnian Serb Army officer Dane Lukajic of physically abusing prisoners at the Manjaca camp during wartime, and sentenced him to six years in prison, local media reported.

The verdict was made public on Thursday after the prosecution and defence issued their closing statements on Monday.
