Dendias in London to discuss innovation ecosystem for defense
Defense Minister Nikos Dendias will travel to London on Thursday to meet with British officials, as well as academics and experts in defense technology, with a view to creating an innovation ecosystem for the Hellenic Armed Forces.
Greek and Cypriots in the UK fight to keep A-Level Modern Greek
The UK education authority’s decision to remove the A-Level Modern Greek exam as of 2017 has met with the opposition of the Greek and Cypriot community. Edexcel, one of the organizations that handles exams in the UK is following the lead of other organizations that want to remove a number of Asian, African and European languages from the list of A-level exams.
Washington D.C. exhibition focuses on Greek Jews in the WWII Resistance
The personal stories of Greek Jews who took part in the WWII Resistance (1941-44) are the focus of the exhibition “Synagonistis: Greek Jews in the National Resistance,” which was inaugurated on April 1 and will run through May 30 at the Washington Hebrew Congregation in Washington D.C.
Greek Film Week on April 23-28
BELGRADE - Marking the Hellenic presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Greek Film Week will take place from April 23 to 28 in Belgrade, under the title “Images from the past, vision of the future”.
