IndiaSerbia exhibition opens at Museum of Applied Arts

BELGRADE - An exhibition of selected entries from the IndiaSerbia Photography Contest 2014 has been opened at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade (MPU).

The Exhibition showcases 25 prize-winning entries from India, and the same number from Serbia, aimed at bringing the two countries and their cultures closer together, the Embassy of India in Belgrade said in a release.

BELGRADE - The first INDIASERBIA Photography Contest, a collaborative project to further the relations between the citizens, professionals and institutions of India and Serbia, and the two grand prizes were given to Samir Basu from India and Zoltan Bisak from Serbia, the Embassy of India in Belgrade said in a release on Tuesday.

Exhibition of Indian Saris at Ethnographic Museum

BELGRADE - An exhibition of Saris under the title 'SARI: The Magic of Indian Weaves', authored by Ms. Rta Kapur Chishti, will open at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade on November 25.

The exhibition is being organized in collaboration between the Embassy of India in Belgrade and the New Delhi-based Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

Greetings for Statehood Day

BELGRADE - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik sent his greetings to Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Friday for Serbia's Statehood Day, saying that Serbia had strengthened its position domestically and internationally by moving forward with its EU integration.
