As of today, the ban on the movement of road vehicles with animal traction/carts / on the streets for public use in the territory of Sofia Municipality - with borders locked in the box between the highway "Europe", East, West and South arc of the Ring Road / SOP /, announced the Sofia Municipality.

"Sofia Municipality is ready to provide accommodation for 206 Ukrainian citizens leaving the country due to hostilities. This morning I informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of all the opportunities that Sofia can provide to help Ukrainians and Bulgarians living in Ukraine." This was stated by the mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova.

Big fire in the center of the capital. An emblematic building, a cultural monument, is burning at the crossroads of Hristo Botev and Todor Alexandrov Boulevards. The building used to be a cinema then turned into a disco. It has cultural signifance.

The area is smoky. 8 fire trucks put out the fire. According to eyewitnesses, 15 people who were homeless lived inside.

Dangerous weather across the country. A yellow code for heavy rainfall has been announced throughout Western and Northern Bulgaria, and in three areas the danger was raised to orange early this morning.
