Turkey has lashed out at the United States over an annual human rights report which harshly criticized the Turkish government for the deterioration of democratic standards and fundamental freedoms while describing the arrested members of the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ) as "political prisoners."

A total of 19 suspects were arrested in counterterrorism operations across Turkey for their alleged links to the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ), the terrorist group behind 2016 defeated coup attempt in Turkey, police sources said Sept. 22.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said South Africa should take measures to halt the activities of members of what it calls the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ), claiming the country had become one of the group's main bases in the world.

A man who was detained on charges of being member of the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ) and who died 13 days after being detained was tortured to death, main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has said.

Some 38,470 Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ), 10,079 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), and 1,354 Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) members have been remanded or convicted in Turkey, Turkish justice minister Abdulhamit Gül said on Feb 10.
