Anti-terror units are examining security camera footage showing two men carrying out Monday's hand-grenade attack against a police precinct in Athens, sources said on Tuesday. 

The footage reportedly shows the two men approaching and leaving the scene of the attack on a motorcycle. 

A Greek left-wing urban guerrilla group on Monday claimed responsibility for an attack with a hand grenade on the French embassy in Athens last week, which wounded one guard.

Spokesperson Dimitris Tzanakopoulos released the following statement: “The Greek government condemns the attack against the Embassy of the French Republic in Athens and expresses its support to the special unit guard who was injured in the attack.

Greek police have found a motorcycle that fits the description of the one used in the terrorist attack against the French Embassy in Athens, Thursday morning. The motorcycle was detected on the corner of Solonos and Themistokleous street, unlocked and with the engine still warm. The bike was transferred to police headquarters for further forensic examination.

The Athens Concert Hall is hosting a lecture by Jean Weissenbach, emeritus professor at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and senior member of the French Academy of Sciences, titled "40 Years of Genomics" on Tuesday, October 11.

Former Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou appeared before a special court on Wednesday on charges of tampering with a document and attempted breach of trust in connection with his handling of the so-called Lagarde list of Greeks with Swiss bank accounts.

?I am innocent,? Papaconstantinou told the court. ?I categorically deny all the charges.?

Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras is expected to attend a French national unity rally in Paris on Sunday following an invitation from the country?s President Francois Hollande.

The peaceful march was organized in the aftermath of the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris last Wednesday in which 12 people were shot dead by French-Algerian brothers Cherif and Said Kouachi.
