British Prime Minister David Cameron condemned the illegal intervention of Russia in the Ukrainian crisis at the Lord Mayor's banquet, held on Monday.

For observers who do not want to see more tension in Ankara, it might be a relief to see that it is not President Tayyip Erdoğan, but rather Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu who is going to Australia on Nov. 12 to attend the G-20 summit.

The OECD has slashed its 2015 growth forecast for Turkey from 4 to 3.2 percent in its latest Economic Outlook, released ahead of the upcoming G-20 Summit scheduled for Nov. 15.

The outlook also stated that the OECD expects some acceleration for the Turkish economy in 2016, predicting 4 percent growth.

A long period of severing ties between Washington and Moscow should be expected amid attempts to solve the Ukraine crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned.

Ankara has put forward a plan to form a free trade zone with the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, the Russian economy minister reportedly said after holding talks with his Turkish counterpart, amid Turkey’s mounting frustration with the European Union over a similar scheme.

Turkey’s top business representative, Turkey’s Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Chairman Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, has been named the leader of the businessmen’s board that will deal with the preparations of the Business 20 (B-20) summit to be held in Turkey in 2015.
