Turkish arts and culture scene to get 1.6 million euros
Aiming to support NGOs, artists, initiatives and activists in Turkey's arts and culture sector, CultureCIVIC will be supporting Turkey's arts and culture scene with 1.6 million euros. The program and applications starts on June 30.
German films at Istanbul Modern
Organized by Istanbul Modern Cinema in partnership with the Goethe-Institut Istanbul, Brand New Films from Germany celebrates its 12th year this winter. Comprising seven films that will be screened in the online program for the first time in Turkey, this year's program, titled "Stray Tales," will be organized between Nov. 26 and Dec. 6.

In the exhibition, supported by Goethe-Institut Istanbul, starting from their reflection on modernism and the Bauhaus culture, the artists and architects Aslı Serbest and Mona Mahall show a series of works and speculative research on feminist spatial utopias.

'Resource Utopia' at Elgiz Museum
The Elgiz Museum in Istanbul will present a photography and video exhibition in pursuit of ideas for other utopias entitled "Resource Utopia" in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Istanbul, Pavlov's Dog Art Gallery in Berlin and NOKS Independent Art Space.

Arno Fischer at Milli Reasürans Art Gallery
In collaboration with the Foreign Cultural Relations Institute (IFA) and the Goethe-Institut Istanbul, Milli Reasürans Art Gallery is displaying 183 workds of late German photography artist Arno Fischer. The exhibition will continue through Jan 7, 2017.

German book exhibition in Istanbul
As part of the 52nd Week of Libraries celebration, Goethe-Institut Istanbul will organize an exhibit displaying the "Finest German Books 2015" collection.
According to a written statement made by the institute, the 25-book collection is the result of a long-running contest that is organized in Germany by the Foundation of Book Arts every year.
