Evacuations continue in Sur in southeast Turkey amid security operations

A total of 43 people have been evacuated from various neighborhoods in the Sur district of southeastern Diyarbak?r province in the last 24 hours amid ongoing counterterror operations against outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on March 3.

Details of army operations unfold as curfew 'reduced' in Cizre

Hundreds of explosives have been deactivated and hundreds of barricades and trenches removed during a blanket curfew in the southeastern Turkish town of Cizre that came into effect for military operations targeting militants from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), according to official sources.

Curfew in Cizre to be lifted on March 2

A curfew which was declared on Dec. 14, 2015, in the Cizre district of the southeastern province of ??rnak will be lifted on the morning of March 2, the ??rnak Governor's Office has announced.

The governor's office said in a statement that the curfew would be lifted for daylight hours on March 2 but would continue to be imposed at nights between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Bomb-laden car halted in southeast Turkey's Diyarbak?r
