Student elections set to be held on May 10
Greek university student elections are set to take place on May 10, with the New Democracy-affiliated DAP-NDFK and the KNE youth wing of the Greek Communist Party (KKE) expected to be the main contenders. Last year's elections were contested by both parties, with both sides claiming victory.

History’s teachings
The intention of the government and the opposition to prevent convicted neo-Nazi Ilias Kasidiaris from taking a fresh run at Parliament with his new party is obvious. I don't know if it will work, though, because history has shown that such efforts rarely have the desired effect and those being barred can simply bypass the system by forming a new party.

SYRIZA trails ruling New Democracy by 9.2 percentage points in new GPO poll
A new Economic Barometer poll conducted by GPO shows SYRIZA trailing New Democracy by 9.2 percentage points.
The ruling party garnered 31.2 percent compared to 22 percent for the main opposition.
Centre-left KINAL has been steadily rising and has reached 14.4 percent.

Poll shows ND maintaining solid lead, more Greeks warming to jab
Governing New Democracy still has a double-digit lead over SYRIZA, a public opinion poll released by Pulse showed on Thursday.
