Following the Tuesday conviction of ethnic Greek mayor Fredi Beleri in Albania over alleged vote-buying, sources from within the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday expressed their concern over the rule of law in Albania and the objectivity of its justice system.
Transfer of Iranian oil from “Ice Energy” to Lana has begun
The process of transfusing the oil from the Greek-owned tanker "Ice Energy" to the Iranian-flagged tanker "Lana" began on Thursday, following the relevant decision taken by the Supreme Court of Greece.
From "Ice Energy" 56,000 tons of crude oil are expected to be recovered and transferred to "Lana", which after the process is expected to sail to its destination.
Seizure of Greek-flagged ships: Greek FM’s demarche to Iran’s ambassador
The Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry submitted a strong demarche to Iran's ambassador in Athens concerning the "violent seizure" of two Greek-flagged ships by Iranian naval forces in the Persian Gulf on Friday.
