Los Angeles police and the FBI are investigating a daring heist of nearly $30 million in cash after burglars apparently broke through the roof of a money storage facility and cracked a safe.

David Cuellar of the Los Angeles Police Department said the robbery — one of the largest cash thefts in the city's history — took place on Easter Sunday in the northern suburb of Sylmar.

The cause of death of American-Canadian actor Matthew Perry is not known, pending further investigation, the BBC reported.

The Los Angeles Times and TMZ, which first reported the "Friends" star's death, said he was found dead in a hot tub at his home on Saturday, October 28.

Anne Heche remains on life support and under evaluation for organ donation after a car crash that led to her brain death, a representative for the actor said Friday.

Under current California law, death can be determined by the loss of all brain function and in accordance with accepted medical standards.

Actor Anne Heche was in the hospital on Aug. 6 following an accident in which her car smashed into a house and flames erupted, a spokeswoman said.

"Anne is currently in stable condition. Her family and friends ask for your thoughts and prayers and to respect her privacy during this difficult time," Heather Duffy Boylston, Heche's friend and podcast partner, said in a statement.
