The natural growth of Romania's population was a negative 8,019 in December 2017, as live births stood at 15,127 and the number of deaths was 23,146, shows data released on Monday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

The GDP was higher by 1.6% in real terms in Q1 of this year compared to the Q4 2014, and compared to the similar period of last year it rose by 4.3% in unadjusted terms and by 4.2% in seasonally-adjusted ones, according to the data released on Wednesday by the National Statistics Institute (INS).

Industrial production prices up 0.4 percent in March (official statistics)
Industrial production prices in Romania advanced 0.4 percent overall, 0.4 percent on the domestic market and 0.6 percent on the foreign markets in March, compared to February, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced on Tuesday.

Albanians Work Longer for Less Pay, Survey Says
The survey of medium and large companies in the country that was carried out by the National Institute of Statistics discovered that Albanians usually work longer hours while getting paid much less than workers in neighbouring countries with similar levels of economic development.

Industrial output up 1.2 pct in January
Romania's industrial output advanced 4.4 percent expressed as raw series and 0.9 percent in the series adjusted for working days and seasonality in January compared to December 2014. The year-on-year evolution was 1.2 percent up in the raw series and 3.4 percent up in the adjusted series, according to data released on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics.

Romania's economy grows 2.9 per cent in 2014; industry and communications, most important contributions
The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2014 was 2.9 per cent higher in real terms compared with 2013, industry and communications having posted the most important contributions, according to the provisional data the National Institute of Statistics (INS) released on Friday.

PM Ponta: A good piece of news, INS shows net investments increased 3pct in Q4 2014
Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Thursday said that the data of the National Institute of Statistics (INS) confirm the increasing trend of investments in the Romanian economy, showing, in this respect, that, according to the INS, the net investments advanced 3 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2014, mostly due to the construction works.
