Türkiye celebrates 72nd year in NATO

Türkiye has celebrated its 72nd anniversary of joining NATO, the world's leading security alliance.

"At an extraordinary period of unprecedented challenges for the world, we celebrate the 72nd anniversary of accession of Türkiye, who maintains a unique and indispensable position for the Alliance, to NATO," read a statement issued by the Foreign Minister on Feb. 18.

Turkey distributes protective supplies to NATO staff

Turkish defense officials on May 15 distributed protective health supplies to soldiers stationed at a NATO Allied Land Command based in İzmir.

In a statement, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense said it distributed the supplies to 320 allied staff of 23 NATO member countries as part of the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
