New Qatargate revelations: 280,000 Euros in Cash at the home of MEP’s son

The police found 280,000 euros in cash at the home of the son of MEP Maria Arena, reported the Belgian newspaper "Le Soir", quoted by BTA.

The uniformed officers searched five other locations, all of which were "directly or indirectly connected to Arena or her family," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.

First Qatar-Turkey refrigerated container route opens

The first direct reefer (refrigerated) container service between Qatar and Turkey has been launched by a company linked to the Qatari government.        

Marine transport and logistics conglomerate Qatar Navigation (Milaha) said in a statement on Aug. 22 that it had arranged voyages on a route between Qatar's Hamad Port and the Turkish port of İzmir.        

Turkey eyes sustainable ways to meet Qatar's needs

Turkey asked Qatar, which has been under a  blockade by Arab countries since June, to join hands for sustainable food production, the Turkish economy minister said on Aug. 3.

Nihat Zeybekci, proposed that Turkey, instead of sending finished goods to Qatar, could send raw materials, which Qatar could process at its own plants.
