Today, the Chairman of the Sofia Municipal Council Georgi Georgiev presented changes that affect the use of pyrotechnic devices on the territory of Sofia Municipality.

Taxis in Sofia with new prices. They were adopted today by the Transport Commission in the Sofia Municipal Council.

The minimum daily tariff becomes BGN 1.05 per kilometer, and the maximum - BGN 1.78.
The minimum night tariff becomes BGN 1.21 per kilometer, and the maximum - BGN 2.19.

The new prices come into force on January 1, 2022.

The waste collection tax in Sofia remains unchanged for the following year. More money for cleaning streets and less money for the old landfills are provided in the draft estimate for cleanliness of Sofia for 2021. The Sofia Municipal Council has adopted a three-year programme to increase the wages of public transport drivers by 10% annually, Focus News Agency reports. A three-year program, which will increase the salaries of the workers by 10% annually, will be signed between the Metropolitan Municipality and the trade unions. This was announced by the mayor Yordanka Fandakova after a meeting between her, the trade unions and the directors of the four companies in the metropolitan public transport.
