The Greek General Secretary for Tourism Mrs. Olympia Anastasopoulou was in Sofia last week, where she participated in the 68th Meeting of the UNWTO Commission for Europe. The General Secretary met with her Bulgarian counterpart and the two discussed tourism issues between Bulgaria and Greece. Mrs. Anastasopoulou was kind enough to give an exclusive interview for Novinite.com.
Türkiye 4th most popular global tourist destination
Türkiye is ranked fourth globally among tourism destinations in 2022, according to a leading international tourism organization.
According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), 963 million people traveled in 2022, while the total expenditure was $1.1 trillion.

The Michelin Guide has said it will unveil its first restaurant selection for Istanbul in October this year.
"Istanbul, which is a first-rate gastronomy destination, impressed our team. Michelin Guide will now introduce this city to gourmets from all around the world," Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide, told a press conference in Istanbul on April 21.
