Gun-toting Serb politician shouts "This is Kosovo"

A prosecutor in Kosovo has decided to set Aleksandar Jablanovic free after his arrest on Sunday for using a firearm to make threats.

Namely, Jablanovic pulled a gun at a group of Serb (Srpska) List activists in the northern town of Leposavic, who were out putting up campaign posters ahead of the early parliamentary elections in Kosovo.

Official resigns for letting his brother use government car

State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor, Social and Veteran Affairs Aleksandar Jablanovic has resigned over a case of abuse of an official government vehicle.

Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that a commission previously determined this, and that he accepted the resignation, and added that "nobody committing a violation will be protected" in his ministry.

Serbs Call off Boycott of Kosovo Parliament

Kosovo Serb politicians on Thursday agreed to return to the country's parliament and government after receiving assurances in discussions that their coalition agreement will be respected.

Prime Minister Mustafa on Friday named Dalibor Jevtic from the Srpska List as the replacement for Aleksandar Jablanovic, the Minister for Returns and Communities who was removed two months ago.

Kosovo Opposition Parties Plan Anti-Government Protest

Kosovo opposition parties announced a protest in Pristina on Saturday against what they call the "hijacking of the government" by the ruling parties, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).

They called on all "unsatisfied citizens, farmers, students and all of those who are unemployed" to join them.
