Gazprom has agreed with Hungary to supply additional quantities of gas for the upcoming heating season, announced the chairman of the board of directors of the Russian state company, Alexey Miller.

A ceremony in Istanbul marked the launch of the TurkStream gas pipeline, attended by Russian and Turkish presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

MOSCOW - Serbia and Russia signed several agreements after Tuesday's meeting between Presidents Aleksandar Vucic and Vladimir Putin, including a deal that will see an increase in Russian gas supplies to Serbia.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday discussed with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller the implementation of a project aimed at supplying Serbia with gas as well as the development of Serbia's gas market.

Miller also conveyed Russian President Vladimir Putin's greetings to Vucic ahead of the Serbian president's visit to Russia.

BELGRADE - A proposed route of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline to Serbia via Bulgaria is on the table, says Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, noting it is Serbia's biggest development opportunity.

A proposal is on the table for the Turkish Stream gas pipeline to go through Bulgaria to Serbia.

President Aleksandar Vucic said this in an interview for Sputnik, describing the possibility as "a major development opportunity" for Serbia.

In the period January 1 -December 15, Gazprom increased gas deliveries to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States by 11.9%, compared to the same period last year, to 170 billion cubic metres, reported BTA.

Gazprom has said it received through diplomatic channels a survey permit for two strings of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline project's offshore section in Turkish territorial waters, in a written statement on Sept. 29.
