Fighting in Eastern Ukraine Resumes, Claims at Least 11 Victims

The fighting in eastern Ukraine has been renewed with new intensity, claiming the lives of at least eleven people over the past day.

Military spokesperson Andriy Lysenko announced on Friday that at least six soldiers were killed and 18 were wounded in the past day, the Guardian reports.

Ukraine accuses Russia of sending dozens of tanks

Ukraine has accused Russia of sending in dozens of tanks and other heavy weapons into Ukraine’s rebel-controlled eastern areas.

National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko said on Nov. 7 at least 32 tanks, 16 artillery systems and 30 trucks loaded with fighters and ammunition had crossed into eastern Ukraine from Russia.

Kyiv says two Russian armoured vehicles captured in east Ukraine

Ukraine's military on Thursday said its forces in the east of the country had captured two Russian armoured vehicles with documents linking them to an elite army paratrooper unit.
      
"Ukrainian soldiers captured two armoured vehicles of Russia's Pskov Airbourne division in a battle near Lugansk," said security spokesman Andriy Lysenko at a briefing.
