In the post-traumatic atmosphere after the bloody coup attempt of July 15, almost all people in Turkey are being forced to take sides or be labeled "the enemy. " A "yes-or-no" choice is being imposed, like the "You're either with me or against me" remark once made by the former U.S. President George W. Bush.

PKK kills another local AKP politician in Turkey's Diyarbakır
A ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) politician was killed by outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the Dicle district of the southeastern province of Diyarbakır on Oct. 11, marking the second such killing by the group in two days.
PKK militants opened fire on Deryan Aktert, the AKP's district chairman in Dicle, while he was at his workplace.
Instability in Syria, Iraq affects Turkey most: Turkish PM
Ongoing instability in Iraq and Syria has affected Turkey more than any other country, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said on Oct. 10.
"The situation to our south in Iraq and Syria affects our country, Turkey, the most," said Yıldırım on Oct. 10 during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 23rd World Energy Congress in Istanbul.
