For the accomplishment of their specific missions, the land forces must have modern, flexible and efficient capabilities and systems interoperable with those of other NATO countries, Romania's Defence Minister Gabriel Les said on Tuesday.

An exhibition called "Romania / France - Cultural Itineraries" comprising of a series of manuscripts, archival documents, correspondence, rare books, drawings and engravings that attest to the dynamics and developments in the historical ties between Romania and France opened on Friday at the Library of the Romanian Academy.

Parliament on Wednesday repeated a vote on a bill concerning President Klaus Iohannis' request for a national consultative referendum on issues of national concern, eliminating some initial recommendations to the head of state.
